Meet Paul Pelletier!
A seasoned professional with a storied career, Paul has amassed extensive experience in the art and performance lighting industry. His journey began at the tender age of 14, providing sound services for bands and events. The advent of intelligent moving lights in the late 80s caught his imagination, leading him to delve deeply into this innovative technology.
His involvement with Martin Professional, a renowned Danish lighting manufacturer, commenced in 1992 during the LDI Tradeshow in Dallas. This encounter blossomed into a long-standing relationship, with Paul actively contributing to various lighting projects, controls, and equipment over the years.
In 1995, Paul aligned with the Canadian distributor for Martin Professional as a Product Specialist. In this role, he worked closely with the manufacturer, playing a pivotal part in numerous projects including LightJockey, MLD, MSD, CASE, MAXXYZ, M-Series, LJ Manager, LED-Trix, M-Series Manager, and many others until 2017.
Since September of 2017, Paul has been at the helm as the Brand Manager for Chroma-Q. This leading company specializes in producing top-notch LED luminaires for the touring, theater, and film industries. Furthermore, they offer a sophisticated line of lighting controllers known as Vista by Chroma-Q under Paul’s proficient stewardship.
In the mid-90s, with a self-taught understanding of Delphi programming, Paul developed several applications initially for personal use. Deciding to share these with a broader audience, he published them, with LD Calculator becoming notably popular since its release in 1997. Impressively, after more than 25 years, many professionals still utilize it, alongside other applications he developed, such as the Martin LJ Manager and M-Series Manager.
Beyond his illustrious career, Paul nurtures a profound passion for photography. Over the years, he has not only honed his skills behind the lens but also accumulated an impressive collection of over 400 film and digital cameras. Each piece in his extensive collection narrates a unique story of the evolution of photography, mirroring Paul’s deep appreciation and understanding of the art. His love for capturing moments and the devices that allow him to do so is a testament to his creative spirit and eye for detail. https://paulpelletier514.myportfolio.com/
